I just got done making a dish that asked for onions, leaving my hands smelling like them, too!  I have the perfect solution to getting rid of the smell without costing a thing.  

Rub your hands around a silver spoon with soapy warm water.  I'll even wash some dirty silverware left over in my sink.  Might as well multi task while I'm at it.

Try smelling your hands and you'll find the odor is gone.
